relax

Yesterday I took a day off from sewing and we went out of the city, picnic in hand to this really beautiful park. We were all set to go to a local park, then in a burst of spontaneity we decided to go out to Virginia Water. 30 minutes later and I was really surprised and how stunning and massive it was...it's endless, we didn't explore half of it I'm sure, it was like an idyll of lakes, forests and all that nature stuff.

the picnic

This is a dress I bought from Traid charity shop £3 ages ago, and finally got around to altering recently. But I've come to the conclusion that whilst it looks cute on the hanger, it kinda just makes you look like a shapeless blob/ makes you look way bigger than you are. I guess maybe I should alter it a bit more.

There was some wind induced skirt-billowing. Either that or I ate way too much picnic. And yes, had this trip not been so spontaneous, I definately wouldn't have worn these shoes. We walked forever, by the end I had to carry them. Besides walking in grass is so nice.

As for the fruits of my labour, in other words, the latest things I've been making; the pics will come soon..
